Congratulations to Dr. Maged Henary on winning the 2019 GSURC Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research

Congratulations to Dr. Henary on one of his compounds being licensed!

One of Dr. Henary’s compounds (MHI-148) has been licensed by DanZen Theranostics, a Delaware-based company, to develop a product that can be used to image and target cancer cells. Georgia State University has finalized the licensing agreement with this company.

Dr. Jun Yin has renewed his new NIH R01 Award!

Congratulations to Dr. Jun Yin on renewing his NIH R01 grant (2R01GM104498-06A1) to study the “Orthogonal Ubiquitin Transfer to Profile E3 Substrate Specificity” in collaboration with Dr. Hiroaki Kiyokawa at Northwestern University. The total budget in approximately $1.4 million for the next 4 years (2018-2022).

 This is great news for Dr. Yin’s research program, the Department of Chemistry, and Georgia State University.
