Congrats to Mengyuan Zhu on receiving the Richard Tapia Scholarship and Travel Grants to SC17 and PEARC

1. Richard Tapia Scholarship
Congratulations to Mengyuan Zhu, he received an ACM Richard Tapia Scholarship.
The Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing is a conference designed to promote diversity, connect undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, researchers, and professionals in computing from all backgrounds and ethnicities.

Mengyuan will give a workshop presentation at Tapia Conference.

2. SIGHPC Travel Grant
Congratulations to Mengyuan also for receiving ACM SIGHPC Travel Grant to attend SC17 at Denver, CO during November 12-17, 2017.

SC, (formerly Supercomputing), the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis, is the name of the annual conference established in 1988 by the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society. In 2016, about 11,000 people participated overall. This year, ACM SIGHPC offered 6 travel scholarships to attend SC17.

Mengyuan will be serving as a mentor to teach a PhD student from an under-represented group to learn computational chemistry at SC17.

3. PEARC Travel Grant
Congratulations to Mengyuan also for receiving a PEARC Travel Grant by donations of STEM-Trek Nonprofit.

He will give a poster presentation at PEARC, Practice & Experience in Advanced Research Computing, from July 9 to 13, 2017 at New Orleans.
