Biography

Dr. Binghe Wang is Regents’ Professor of Chemistry, Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar in Drug discovery, and Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Cancer Scholar.  He also serves as Associate Dean for Natural and Computational Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences. Outside of GSU, Dr. Wang serves as Chief Editor of a high impact journal, Medicinal Research Reviews, and is the founding editor of “Wiley Series in Drug Discovery and Development,” which has published over 20 volumes.  Dr. Wang has published over 200 scientific papers and trained a large number of graduate and undergraduate students as well as postdoctoral fellows. His research areas include medicinal and bioorganic chemistry with an emphasis on new drugs against cancer, infectious diseases, and inflammatory conditions as well as new diagnostics for cancer, cardiovascular abnormalities, and other diseases.
