Chemistry Club Information

GSU Chemistry Club is organized to help fellow chemistry majors (or anyone interested in the subject) meet other students with the same focus. There is a goal to help students learn about their career oppurtunities and assist them with reaching that goal. Besides all that, this is a chance to meet other people at the meetings, and hear interesting speakers.

Welcome to the GSU Chemistry Club Website!

The aim of this organization is to advance the interest of students in chemistry. The organization wants to give students who are studying chemistry, academic and social support. We are a group of students whose goal is to share knowledge and experiences with our colleagues in an attempt to better ourselves as a whole group. In order to aid this, we will have presentations done by speakers who will try their best to help students with a better understanding of chemistry and provide them with information on the different fields that are out there in the study of chemistry. We hope to provide an intimate environment to aid the study of chemistry and to allow new members to meet fellow students with the same interest.

ACS BOOKS FOR SALE!

Georgia State University is currently selling ACS (American Chemical Society) test books to help students prepare for the ACS exams at the end of each General Chemistry and Organic 2 class! It is a VERY useful study guide because it is written by the same people who make the test, thus we encourage you to buy the books not only to benefit the club but as well benefit your self! Prices for the books include:

General Chemistry I and II: $20

Organic Chemistry II: $20

Remember, if you have not registered for the new email system for Chemistry Club, make sure you do that soon as possible or you will no longer receive emails about upcoming meetings. Here are directions on how to register:

1. Click on this link "Request Info"

2. Then, type your panther ID number as it is printed on your Panther ID Card (hint: it begins with 001).

3. Once you have done that, fill out the "New Student Application" and submit it.

4. It will take you back to the home page and you're done with the application!
