Admissions

Our newly expanded Computational Biophysical Chemistry program presents an immediate need for qualified Ph.D. Students in our Computational Chemistry research groups.  A background that includes, physical chemistry, biochemistry, calculus, and some experience with computing is ideal, but all applicants will be considered.

The graduate programs admit students each academic semester provided a complete application and all supporting documents are received by the appropriate deadline:

Fall Admission: July 1st

Spring Admission: November 15th

Summer Admission: April 1st

NOTE:  Priority deadline for Fall is January 15th.  And Summer matriculation is for unique / special situations; please ask if you qualify.

Application requirements are as follows:

1. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate or masters degree in Chemistry, Biology or a closely related field.

2. Applicants must submit transcripts of their past academic performance, a statement of their career goals and research interest, and scores on the general Graduate Record Examination (GRE).  International applicants should also submit scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

3. Doctoral applicants must submit three letters of recommendation and masters applicants three refernces.

4. Applications should be completed online at Graduate Admissions

US Citizens or Permanent Residents (with a US Degree) interested in PhD pre-advisement should first complete a Pre-Application
