2 Visiting Lecturer Positions

The Department of Chemistry at Georgia State University anticipates 2 Visiting Lecturer positions for the academic year 2008 - 2009 (effective Aug.2008).  PhD required.  Instruction of core chemistry lecture and lab courses.  College level teaching experience preferred.

Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry

Postdoctoral position available to study biological functions of key histone modification enzymes.  Applicants should have a Ph. D. with background in molecular biology/biochemistry.  Experiences include, but not limited to, cloning, protein expression, enzymology, and cell cultures.

Postdoctoral Position in Computational Molecular Biophysics

The research will involve the study of biomolecular interactions and signaling mechanisms, application of molecular dynamics simulations to proteins and nucleic acids, and the application and development of advanced simulation methods.

Applicants should have a strong background in the application of statistical mechanics and computer simulations to biological systems.  A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biophysics or a related field, and experience in molecular dynamics simulation, programming, and Linux (or related operating systems) are required.
