- Mission Statement:
In an effort to expand its mission to encourage and advance chemistry in all its branches; and by its meetings, reports, papers, discussions and publications, to promote scientific interests and inquiry, The Georgia Section of the American Chemical Society invites proposals from interested parties for the annual Mini-grant Program.
The mini-grants enables activities intended for
improving public understanding, appreciation and knowledge of chemistry
and the chemical sciences in the greater Atlanta region.
Grants of up to $1000 will be awarded.

Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of creativity, coherence and the expected number of people impacted.

Proposals must be either submitted by an active member of the American Chemical Society, or have an active member sponsor if submitted by a non-member.

A committee of local section members will evaluate all complete proposals received by the deadline.

The submission window for
2013 Mini-Grants proposals is between February 1, 2013 and May 1, 2013.
